2009 Events

After his release on In Fact Recordings, Sahpe was quite looking forward to the opportunity to DJ along Novatek (In Fact head honcho), and this was a dream-come-true! On 29th December 2009 they hosted an In Fact Recordings label showcase!

The LUNAR  team came back in November for another instalment of their superb parties in Bar Mango in Reading, UK, and Sound Gypsy was invited along with Sahpe to host the Garden for the whole night! The neighbours were not that happy with the decision...! You know you're doing well when people keep dancing even when it rains - what a night!

The renovated Avenue in Newbury, UK, had just opened its doors and since it was the newest and finest club in town, Sound Gypsy and Sahpe took it upon themselves to get Newbury dancing! PLUSH was named after feel of the venue and the music that the night would offer... The first night was on 24th October 2009 and opened up an opportunity for more to come!

The LUNAR Future Music team was organising parties in Bar Mango, Reading, and this was the last summer event on 7th August 2009. Friend and collaborator Sound Gypsy was asked to play the main room while Sahpe hosted the Gerden area from 1 till 4am! The Garden filled with people dancing and jumping up and down till the end, begging the overseeing bar manager to allow for one last tune at 4am! And so he did...!

Suffice to say this night made for the start of beautiful friendships between all people involved! Sebastian Klone went on to invite Sahpe for covering his Hoxton FM show when absent through the last quarter of 2012, while organiser Carrie became a true best friend!
